HUG pastry cases are shelf-stable for up to 12 months from date of manufacture and also freeze-thaw stable. You can create your fillings and toppings, add these to the case and then freeze the finished product to defrost and serve when required – with no compromise on quality or presentation.
Each case is glazed on the inside with non hydrogenated vegetable oil to prevent moisture migration from your fill into the pastry. This means HUG cases hold their integrity for much longer than conventional frozen pastry – they won’t go soggy from your filling but will stay attractively crisp for superior mouthfeel. So you can fill them well in advance of serving, secure in the knowledge that quality will not deteriorate.
